Each time I reach for my overnight bag, I carefully place my folded clothes inside, neatly arranged in clean rectangles. Again and again, I thoughtless start my weekends off on the wrong foot.
Why? Because I manage to forget that folding can wrinkle clothes. My neat little rectangles never stand a chance.
The best way to pack is actually to roll your clothes—isn’t that what they also teach in Girl Scouts? (More recently, I re-read it in Real Simple.)
While most of my clothes for an upcoming ski weekend aren’t at risk for wrinkling, I’m still switching to rolling. This time I’ll remember. Scout’s honor!
